We are excited to host the edX Global Forum, an in-person gathering of our partners, October 2-3, 2023, in Washington, DC.Â
Convening for the first time since 2019–and since edX and 2U joined forces–we will connect, share best practices, and discuss innovative ideas to help us deliver the world’s best online education. Â
We are shaping our program now–and we want your help.
Interested in leading a session at the Global Forum? Have a topic, success story, or lessons learned to share with your peers from other world-class institutions? Here are the guidelines for submission:
- Sessions should cover at least one of our desired topic areas (descriptions below): Meeting the Needs of Today’s Learners, Training the Workforce of the Future, Increasing Access and Affordability for All, and Innovating Online Education Delivery
- Sessions can include multiple speakers and/or partner institutions
- More than one session can be submitted per institution
Submissions do not guarantee approval
Â
Read the FAQs and use the form below to submit a session proposal between now and Wednesday, May 31 at 5:00 PM ET. Decisions regarding session proposals will be communicated in June.Â
For questions, reach out to partnercommunications@edx.org.
- Meeting the Needs of Today’s Learners: Today’s learner is evolving–they want more choices in what, when, where, and how they learn. Share your success stories, lessons learned, or insights in meeting learners where they are in their careers and lives, while delivering outcomes.
- Training the Workforce of the Future: The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) estimates that 1.1 billion jobs will be displaced in the next decade. How is your institution, organization, or program meeting the workforce’s fast-changing needs?Â
- Increasing Access and Affordability for All:Â How is your program creating access for new and different learners? Breaking down cost barriers for education? Opening new, non-linear pathways for learners to achieve their outcomes?
- Innovating Online Education Delivery: What new ideas are you implementing in your online programs? How are you innovating to take online learning to the next level? What can others learn from what you are doing
- Other:Â Have another topic that we should consider? Share your ideas with us.Â
Decisions regarding session proposals will be communicated in June. You should still register now to attend the Global Forum; space is limited.
If your proposal is accepted, you should expect to:
- Participate in a virtual speaker prep call
